sunny daze....

between tendinitis flair ups (from playing the guitar..ugh), stink bug raids, foot soaks and heartburn, i should march up to the bed and extinguish myself...i am a candle burning too long....black wick....too much melting wax....no more smell. that is me....but i need a quick blog fix.
with the weather outside so cold, windy, rainy....i'm in a daze lately. the sun makes me happy and the sun hasn't been out much lately, so i'm fooling myself with the colors of summer. i'm so into bright pink and fuchsia right now. so into florals. so into texture. i can't seem to get my head out of the rose duvet. i am stuck in a vintage floral rut, but i don't really care. i love it.
i am also the queen of a good bargain. couple the love between vintage florals and all my thrifting hunts lately and i'm stockpiling some super cute summer clothes and linens!!
are these in my spring budget???? not really, but the heart knows what the heart loves.....and mine loves faded blue jeans and lots of florals!
and this sweet $3 tablecloth....
and this sweet tablecloth for 85 cents (and i found an awesome chenille bedspread for 85 cents too)....with those ubiquitous summer pinks....mmmmmm.....
hit the local EDGEWOOD, MARYLAND thrift shop the other day and found over 6 vintage purses....none more than $3.
curtains for $1 a panel....roses galore.....and the pillow in the chair was made with barkcloth scrap and burlap. it was so easy to make. took me like 15 minutes and cost under $6!.
mantel redo with shells and beach pic to help me think of warm days.....
window redo with my $10 boudoir doll......
cabinet redo.....creams and silver........
sweetest victorian scrap i found on etsy....i decoupaged it to a small blue primitive chair i found at goodwill. i love this scrap. this is booth bound for sure.
had some time in the craft room for signs made from antique story pages............
all headed to the booth!!!
AWESOMENESS right here!!! i am so burned out on cooking lately. i spent over 6 hours total in my kitchen on sunday...seriously!!! i added up the time spent all day there and realized if i got paid, i'd make over $100 in the corporate world!!! man....housework is serious. for those people that think stay at home moms don't work....NOT EVEN. hard work....no pay......
so i am always on the lookout for good snacks that will fill us up in case we just have a snack for dinner instead of a real meal. these are soooooooo good. small bagels that are super soft on the inside with a chewy outside shell. major snack attack!!
cup of milk and these bagels with butter and SEA Salt....mmmmmm.....
not the best summer food, but good enough to brighten my day......
okay....time to get out of my daze and get some zzzzzz's.
cindy....i need to email you!!! you brightened my day the other day and i will email soon!!!!!!
thanks for stopping by.....
lol
