bliss....

i'm still here. i'm busy....time is a criminal. she steals my blogging time darn it.
but....
dreams really do come true....but do they last??? only for a picture. haha.
spring break was a whirlwind of travel for us....and a big break in the bank, but i'm so grateful for hot weather, way too long lines, screaming kids, meltdowns, credit card debts, $6 hotdogs and motion sickness. i'll take all of it any day if it means no storms and a another day with my house intact and my family safe. i was on vacation when alabama got hit and didn't even know it happened. to my friends in the south....i hope you are all safe. i remember those storms. i know the fear of that weather, but i don't know the sting of the devastation it can leave. my heart breaks. pure sadness.
i also had no idea what was happening with the royal wedding either. i was too busy spinning on rides....dizzy with sickness from scary roller coasters. i do believe the definition of old is someone who can't ride roller coasters or planes without feeling sickness of 4 bad meals. ugh. i thought i was going to faint after EXPEDITION EVEREST and EXPEDITION SOUTHWEST AIRLINES. lol. i used to fly all the time years ago and always had a touch of motion sickness then, but now it is horrid. that said....2 dramamine on the plane ride home eased my weary stomach. i slept and couldn't move my arms, but i didn't feel sick! i stood in long lines shared with people from all over the world. the fun folks from the U.K. came to disney to escape the royal wedding crowds. i thought that was cheeky.
i love watching folks when we visit disney. it truly is a human zoo. all the crowds of people.....circumstantial conversations with complete strangers that end up being your best friends by the end of a 90 minute wait for a ride. people in large theme parks like disney are forced to work together as humans...waiting patiently in line for almost everything....from the bathroom to a drink from the water fountain. we have to manage our way thru large crowds without being rude, disrespectful or harmful to one another.....especially at disney. everyone seems so cheerful....absolute bliss....
but i know in any other crowded situation, we would fight, nudge, punch, cuss, and probably not fetch or share a smile from anyone we pass. i like to watch the human choreography of large disney crowds....and crowded it was!!!!! oh my. HOT, HOT, HOT and very crowded!!! every language, every country.....young, old, babies, folks in wheelchairs, folks with walkers, folks pushing strollers.....kids, moms, dads, aunts, cousins, students, siblings....all managing their way around the park...one dream at a time....one ride at a time....one princess at a time. so much fun!!!!
we got lucky this trip and really managed some character chasing....pure paparazzi......

hope y'all had a great spring break wherever you went or whatever you did. hopefully lots of junking. i had a chance to do that a little today in LANCASTER, PA. we took a quick trip to the BIG G.W. there and i spent a whopping $28 on 2 HUGE bags of clothes for the summer/spring....plus linens, a chenille blanket, books and a couple of toys for the kids. can't beat that!!! if you haven't been to lancaster, pa before, it is so worth the trip!!!!! seriously a very interesting melting pot of people, cultures, sights, history tons of shopping, awesome antiques, and some of the best amish food.
okay...off to watch SNL.
