summer's heat...makes a deadbeat...blogger

i think it is time for a new post......
i have been very neglectful of my sad little blog lately. i have been busy reading other blogs (that are way more interesting than mine are), catching up on facebook, reading yahoo news, catching up on emails, pretending to shop online (i go to sites and put stuff in the shopping carts and then leave)...blah, blah, blah. no booth....no motivation lately. that and the heat are killing my junking spirit. oh yes....and we are moving in a month too. all of those distractions are keeping me from my habitual junk collecting and crafting. i have been avoiding the heat and napping during the day when i can. loving that. siesta city....texas is HOT.
i just keep moving crap around in the house....like a last chance affair with this home's decor. it will be over soon. i will let the decadence of decorating little spaces before the packers come be my creative muse.
here are some random shots around the house. i have been on a tea staining kick. i just love tea stained lace...what can i say?
tea stained a 25cent standard white pillow case and added a lapel pin. something quick and easy that has an antique look. the pillow in the first photo has a clockface added to it. i tea stained a little thirft pillow case and tied a clockface w/old lace to it.....

makeshift valance from a bedskirt. i ripped the lace part of a bedskirt off and tea stained it. loved the aged look it gave, so i hung it across my window as a valance.
arek and zoey playing dress up. whaaa???? is that arek? oh my. this is what i deal with everyday. arek, arek, arek. like i don't have enough going on with him and this too. he says he is wearing his 'ACTING' clothes. okay.
well zoey is just being a little vintage hat princess.....
